My interests in Art in 1969 were not with 'the Moderns', which were the basis of Art Shool academia, but with new directions. Pop Art made Art accessible, and took it down from the exclusive pedestal on which the adherants of 'modernism' had placed it. I liked the work of Warhol, Segal, Lichtenstein, Richard Hamilton. Claes Oldenberg made giant hamburgers, and ran an 'Art Store' in New York. This was the direction I and friends wanted to explore.
